New Front Porch
Extensions /Home Improvements
The front of your home is the most visible to the rest of the world, so it’s important you keep it looking it’s best. That was exactly the aim for our next project where the front porch was grimy, crumbling and not what you’d want to come home to! We did a full renovation on the area to create a more pleasant entrance into our client’s home.
We first removed the disintegrating low wall extending from the front of the house and the low-quality guttering above the door. We also tidied up the floor, removing weeds and removing old, worn tiling and paving. The new porch we built was modern and completely changed the whole look of the front-facing wall. In the image, you can see the solid, stable groundworks and brickwork, as well as the paved step allowing the base of the porch to be elevated from the ground. We fitted UPVC windows and a door, as well as re-fitting new guttering around the porch and adding a tiled roof.
Whilst we wanted the porch to look the part, we also wanted the structure and stability to be a main focus of our build. We constructed an entrance that won’t be damaged by harsh weather and won’t begin to fall apart as the old one had, whilst also providing a good space for outdoor items for practical use.
